A Rose With No Thorns

Here is another beauty from our garden. The bush that this one came from has another 8 buds about to pop any day now so there will be more of this delish pink goodness to capture.

This is what Brock was doing while I was trying to photograph the Rose .... he kept telling me that I was getting in his way.

......and this is what my other gorgeous boy was doing!

PS Playing

I thought I would have a play in Photoshop while Heath was sleeping today, there isn't much else I can do as it is very miserable weather here at the moment. Mark has the day off because all roads are cut off due to flooding ...... Brock can shadow him for the day. Well lets just say that Heaths nap went longer than I had expected and this is the end result - a little heavy on the brush work but I like it! This carnation was picked from our garden.

Got a spare minute?

.... Because i never seem to have many spare lately! I haven't got any scraping to share since finally unpacking my things in our new house but I have been a little snap happy trying out the new lens that my gorgeous boys got me for Mothers day, Here are just a few of my fave pix so far.

Last Layout....

This is my last LO for my LSS as we are moving soon and I will no longer be within walking distance to the shop and I will not be able to drop in there as frequently anymore :-( I have used this photo of Tyler at Christmas before but it just matched this pack so beautifully that I had to use it again.
I will try to find the time to upload some more pix of my littlest man soon.

Finally.....

I get some time to do a LO and it is not of my gorgeous new boy! This is one that I started before Heath was born and I finally got a bit of time to finish it!
This is my parents dog Brodie who we lost earlier this year at almost 15yrs old - she was a gentle natured dog that was fantastic with the kids too.

Keeping Busy

I have come to the conclusion that this baby is just going to stay put for eternity..... I will always roll out of bed and walk with a waddle, my feet will forever look like footballs with stubs on the ends and I will never have a tight 6 pack of Billy Blank type aba-daba's again! (not that I ever did).

I shall happily continue to have people wait on me, I'll just suck up all their sympathy with no guilt while I spend my days gleefully scrapping away as this baby gets increasingly bigger until I do actually explode sometime around it's 21st birthday I estimate.

Here is the first LO I have completed since retiring myself to the fact that this 'condition' is now my FOREVER!

Yep!..... love being pregnant but I am so TOTALLY OVER IT now! ;-p

Happy Birthday

Firstly to my Dad, he has been kind enough to share this date with me for -- years. Here is the card I made for him. I didn't get to see Dad today but he doesn't have the internet so I am not ruining any surprises by showing it!

I got another bead for my Pandora bracelet from my Sister - That would be the one that says 'SISTER' - I got her a different Sister one for her birthday too which was a week earlier. There is no bracelet in this photo as that is what my Parents got me and I didn't get to see them today - but they look pretty anyway. I bought the other beads as a pressie for myself.

I also got this printer from Mark and Brock. I have been in desperate need of one for some time now. Mark is happy that it also prints on CDs. Can't wait to play with it tonight!

We spent a lovely afternoon at my Brothers house for lunch and this is what my uber talented SIL Renita found the time to make for me, it is so cool and I love the funky pattern with the bright
pink lining there are little pockets in it too - she so clever!

Unfortunately no sign of Bub arriving today, I was hoping for a third generation on the first but at least it is
going to be a Pisces.

Still waiting!

Baby is due in 5 days, I think it will be late like Brock. We are not in a hurry as we still haven't agreed on a name, at least I can get some scrapping done while I wait. Here is a LO with some dodgy Photos I took at 28 weeks with the self timer on the camera.

...and one of Brock, counting on his fingers!

Almost 8

I finally get a decent photo Brock with all his Cousins and in about 4 weeks I am going to be trying to round them all up again to get a pic of the eight of them together.
(Not as easy as it sounds)

Beauty

My Niece Kiera. Not too happy with how this one turned out, I think the photo needs to be a bit larger but that is OK - I will happily scrap this photo of her again.

This is our Boooooootiful Boy.......
I still can't believe that we created this gorgeous child!

On A Quest

For Christmas Brock received a Boogie Board and a Kite. On Sunday night Mark decided that we should spend Australia day at the beach and put them to some use. After convincing Mark that going anywhere near a highway to either coast on Australia Day was not a wise move, we settled on a shorter trip to Redcliffe, that way we avoid the highways which would be packed and if it was too crowded it wouldn't be too far to just turn around and come home.

There weren't as many people as i thought there would be and Brock loved trying out his new board.

After finding out that the lady swimming near us was stung by a blue bottle we moved on to the pool area which included a loooong walk/waddle in the sweltering heat. Luckily Brock doesn't mind walking and never complains and I think I did pretty good too considering I am now at about 36wks (Driving there was not an option as traffic/parking was mayhem by this time). We had to go all the way to the other side of that headland that is in the top left photo up there^^^^.
Which brings me to my Quest - with all the Aussie paraphernalia on display I thought I would amuse myself by trying to capture some images that reflected the spirit of the day. This is just a few of the many photos that I took ..... Flags, Meat pies, Beach Cricket, surf life savers and stinking hot weather:

A few more of these warnings along the beach would have been appreciated:

We Did try to fly the kite but we looked pretty ridiculous as neither Mark or I knew what we were doing and a preggo chick running/waddling up the beach trailing bits of string and a brightly coloured tarp was a pretty funny sight ..... so alas NO photos of that (maybe next time when there are less people and my tummy is a little less occupied).

Then home to backyard cricket, cold ice blocks in the kiddy pool and pizza for dinner!

So Did our Boy have FUN...?
I think this face says it all:
